How to Write a Romantic Poem For Your Boyfriend in This Valentine's Day

So, it's that time of the year again when love fills the air and all you can think about is reminiscence about the many lovely times you've spend with your man. If you're thinking about giving him something special from the heart, instead of spending lots on something off the shelves, why not get him something priceless instead? Write him a romantic poem and brighten up his Valentine's Day.

If you've got no idea on how to start, then instead of going straight for composing, why not start by listing out what you want to write instead. The best way to do this is to write out everything you love about him. You could write something about how he treats you right, or how he puts a smile on your face or how he cheers up your dull days or the way he makes your heart jump and so on.

Once you've got the grounds of the poem, take a look at other romantic poems or love poems on the internet and get inspired from there. Most of the time, you write best when you get ideas from other writers so take your time and read a lot of other poems and then go back to your list. You would also want to be relaxed and not stress over how to write the poem. The more you think about it, the more likely you are to get anxious about it. So relax and free your mind and it will come to you.

With the list of things you like about your man, slowly construct them together into a poem. You could add in a pet name, his name or whatever it is that you may call him to make it even more personal. Also, don't worry about making it rhyme, not every line has got to be in sync. Do keep in mind that love and romance is best spontaneous and doesn't need to be perfect, the best poems are those that are sincere and not stitched to perfection, so use your thoughts and just pen them down as you go.

If you're the kind of person to bottle up how you feel, then maybe it's about time to wear your heart on your sleeve and write out all you feel about him as well. If you've yet to tell him you love him, maybe this could be a great time.
